A B2B eCommerce Solution Speeding Digital Sales

Recently, LiveArea announced FastTrack, our new SAP-Qualified Partner-Packaged Solution for B2B Commerce. Built on SAP Commerce Cloud, FastTrack is a “B2B Accelerator” that provides LiveArea customers with world-class technology and services designed to meet the unique needs of B2B commerce. In just 16 weeks, we can launch a modern, robust B2B commerce implementation for our clients.

You can learn more about what FastTrack is from the links above, but I’d like to take a moment to discuss how and why we built it.

FastTrack represents LiveArea’s opinionated take on essential B2B commerce. In project after project, we have learned the common pain points our clients face, and the large and small design decisions that make up an effective, usable commerce site. Rather than imposing those dilemmas on clients, FastTrack includes built-in integrations and enhancements that are tested and performant on Day 1 of the project, right out of the box.

That makes FastTrack a kind of “minimum viable product” from our clients’ perspective. Instead of asking ourselves, “What is the minimum B2B accelerator to start a project?” we ask, “What are the essential elements clients need in a B2B commerce site?”

FastTrack goes a long way to answering that question. It provides things like:

  • Fast backend implementation time – Core integrations like payment processing, address verification, and store location work with only minimal configuration.
  • Scalability – built-in content-delivery-network support for images and media, for high traffic sites or sites that will be high traffic later.
  • Streamlined data setup and update – Automated import of products, media, and accounts.
  • Easy onboarding of end customers by the client – Defined, common user “roles” reduce the work for clients to transition site visitors to the new system.

In spite of all its baked-in features, though, FastTrack retains the extensive customizability of SAP Commerce. There’s nothing in FastTrack that can’t be replaced or redesigned if a client project requires it. That makes it an ideal jumping off point for any size project. Whether it’s a small engagement with simple catalog and payment requirements, or a massive site with a large multi-dimensional catalog, complex custom integrations, and high order volume, every SAP Commerce project can benefit from the foundation FastTrack provides.

All of this adds up to our “opinion” on B2B commerce, but one informed by years of up close and personal experience, and focused thought about the best way to deliver a best-in-class B2B site. The result is a shorter, smoother project at a lower cost and, ultimately, one that delivers a better customer experience and more sales.
